Running a business is hard. Running a business with a brain that refuses to follow a linear to-do list? Even harder. That’s where I come in.

I’m Ellie Norris, the brains (and occasional chaos coordinator) behind What The Ell ®. As a neurodivergent virtual assistant, I get how overwhelming business admin can be—the forgotten emails, the double-booked meetings, the 57 open browser tabs you swear you’ll get to.

I help fellow neurodivergent business owners untangle the mess, get organised (in a way that actually works for you), and take those boring-but-essential tasks off your plate. So you can focus on the parts of your business that light you up.

Who is she?!

Hey, I’m Ellie – a diagnosed AuDHD (that’s autism + ADHD) virtual assistant who finally ditched the 9–5 grind after 14 years of feeling overlooked, overwhelmed, and seriously out of sync with “office life.”

I started What The Ell ® because I wanted to build something that actually works for neurodivergent brains (mine included). No more burnt out lunch breaks, awkward small talk, or pretending to be someone I’m not. Just clear, honest, supportive help – and a business that values flexibility, transparency, and good boundaries.

Whether you’re neurodivergent, neurotypical, or just really over spreadsheets, I’m here to make your work life easier.

Why work with me?

🔹 I get it. You don’t need to explain the ADHD time vortex or why traditional productivity hacks don’t work—we’ll find a system that actually sticks.

🔹 No judgement, ever. If your inbox is a disaster or your calendar looks like a Tetris game gone wrong, I promise I’ve seen worse.

🔹 Brain-friendly support. I work with your natural flow, not against it.

Basically, I take the stressful stuff off your plate so you can focus on being the brilliant business owner you are.
